WE ARE ONE WHOLE BODY (OF CHRIST)!

“The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.” (I Corinthians 12:12 NLT)

One WHOLE body. I had to really think about that. One. Whole. Body.

Whole – all; total; containing the total amount or number, or the entire thing; complete; entire; not defective or imperfect; unimpaired; unbroken; uninjured; sound; not hurt or sick (Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary)

We were created to be, “One whole body,” with everything wholeness implies. That’s how God created us.

We need all of the parts to make one whole body. If any part is missing, or in the wrong place, the body is not whole and will never fulfill its purpose. We truly need each other.

“In order to accomplish a corporate purpose, God brings together many people’s personal gifts and unique visions. He wants you to bring your time, energy, resources, and creative power to be part of a larger vision to which your vision is connected.” (Dr. Myles Munroe)

Vision and purpose are not solitary. God has a much bigger plan and each of us are an important part of that plan and each of us are an important part of His plan. He needs us to be in place doing what He created us to do. He truly needs us to be one.

While God has gifted us independently, each gift works best when used collectively. We need each other. We are better, and more powerful, together.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good [more satisfying] reward for their labor; For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie down together, then they have warmth; but how can one be warm alone? And though a man might prevail against him who is alone, two will withstand him. A threefold cord is not quickly broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 AMPC)

Your gift will not work in isolation. It will always work, and work powerfully, when operating within the body of Christ. Find your place and let God use you powerfully. The body of Christ needs you!
