“WATCH…CLOSELY…PREPARING…NEW!”
Four words. Ordinary? Maybe. These four words are powerful when they are wrapped in a promise from God!
I am so thankful that nothing is wasted in Him. God can use it all and He works it out for our good.
“We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.” (Romans 8:28 AMPC)
I read a Scripture that greatly encouraged me. It's a familiar, and favorite Scripture. I read it in a different version and the words caused my Spirit to leap and my hope to rise!
"Watch closely: I am preparing something new; it’s happening now, even as I speak,
and you’re about to see it. I am preparing a way through the desert;
Waters will flow where there had been none." (Isaiah 43:19 The Voice)
The journaling that followed this gave me such wonderful insights to what God is doing in my life!

Sometimes you think you know what a Scripture is saying. Sometime we take words for granted thinking we know their meaning. Sometimes we are wrong on both counts because it may not be what we think. One of my favorite resources is the Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary. Why you may ask? He gives Scripture references in a lot of the definitions which help me dig deeper!
Faith Confession:
Lord, teach me to really watch closely so I can see the new thing You are preparing for me. Give me the gift of close observation and vigilance so I see Your hand and know Your heart, and hear Your voice quickly and unerringly. Let my heart beat in sync with Your heart. I want to be an active, vital part of what You are doing.
