If being comfortable and doing things your way is your norm, maybe it's time to, "Trust the Unknown Path," do something different and let God lead you in a new direction.
"Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands." (Isaiah 43:16-19a MSG)
I needed this! I know God is up to something in my life and a season has changed. What I used to do is not what I need to do in this season. I don't know what's next but I'm resting in Him and trusting Him for my next steps as I wait with expectation. I know there's always something going on in the waiting time and I'm committed to doing my part so I'm ready when He says move!
Side Note: I won't be trying to make anything happen. I'm waiting on God, no matter how long it takes!
"Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]." (Hebrews 11:1 AMPC)
I'm going to do like Ruth did and travel a different path, an unknown path, being anchored in faith and reliant on God. If Ruth could rely on God, who she didn't know while trusting her mother-in-law's faith and leadership I can rely on my Abba Father whom I do know and who has never failed me. It's a path that will take me out of my comfort zone and cause me to give up the illusion of control. It's a path that will cause me to truly not lean into my own understanding. My understanding has led me to dead ends, broken promises, unnecessary pain, and disappointment. No more!
"Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong." (Proverbs 3:5-7 TPT)
I'm choosing my Divine Destiny over everything else. Even if it doesn't make sense to me or to others, I am going to wait on God no matter how long it takes or what it looks like, and I'm going to wait in a way that honors God.
I'm going to trust God's unknown path for me. He will reveal what I need to know exactly when I need to know it. My eyes are on Him.
In the meantime, I'm going to continue writing, preparing Bible studies, working on my next devotional, encouraging others, and myself in God's Word. I am going to do everything I know to do as God prepares me for my next step and as He prepares where He's taking me to receive me with sincere joy and love. The gifts God has given me are for His use. He knows exactly where I need to be and who is waiting on and praying for me to show up!
As I wait, I will remind myself, I was created on purpose, for purpose, by a God of purpose who knows exactly where I need to be and how to get me there. All I need to do is walk in faith, trust Him, be available and be obedient.
I'll keep this as a reminder and motivator! I love how God is in the details of our lives! He knows just what we need, right when we need it, and exactly how to get it to us!
I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!” (Psalms 32:8-9 TPT)
I won't make it difficult Lord. I won't be stubborn. I am looking forward to You taking me where I've not been before. You won't have to tug or pull me along. I choose to just come with You! I'm so excited Abba, I can't wait to see what You're up to!
Be Encouraged! ❤
