Being bruised, hurt, and rejected are found along the pathway to spiritual growth. It's going to cost us something.
Have you counted the cost?
Are you willing to put in the work?
Will you finish what you've begun?
Will you trust God through the process?
"For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who observe it begin to ridicule him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’" (Luke 14:28-30 NASB).
The key to success is what you build on and Who you build with.
Let me help you choose a firm foundation:
“So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, will be like a wise man [a far-sighted, practical, and sensible man] who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods and torrents came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them, will be like a foolish (stupid) man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods and torrents came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great and complete was its fall.” (Matthew 7:25-27 AMP)
When we build on the Word of God we will grow, and we will stand.
Let this be your stance:
"Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose]." (Corinthians 15:58 AMP)
When you know Jesus walks with and directs you on the path to spiritual growth, then the bruises, hurt, and rejection isn't your focal point. Jesus is.
Be Encouraged! ❤
