“Don’t be afraid. I am with you. Don’t tremble with fear. I am your God. I will make you strong, as I protect you with my arm and give you victories.” (Isaiah 41:10 CEV)
Fear can be paralyzing, causing us to believe we can't win or go any further. Yet, we have God on our side.
His Word, He says:
"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control." (II Timothy 1:7 AMPC)
We have been given a spirit of:
Power
Love
A calm and well-balanced mind
Discipline
Self-Control
Sounds like we've got everything we need to be victorious in any situation!
When fear grips us, let's remember what Elisha told his servant:
So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. (II Kings 6:16-17 NKJV)
Fear can cause us to forget that what we see is not all that is going on. Remember, God has empowered us to handle anything that comes our way.
"I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]." (Philippians 4:13 AMPC)
