TIMELESS ADVICE FROM MY MOM:
My mom used to tell me not to follow the crowd and to always think for myself. If you make a mistake let it be your mistake and not the result of following the crowd.
She asked me, if the crowd jumps off a bridge, are you going to jump also? Just because someone is doing something doesn't mean you should be doing it. She told me I must be willing to walk alone because some choices will require that. She admonished me not to love the crowd more than I love myself and to remember, you are not expendable!
Because of her I'm willing to walk alone when I truly believe in something. I will not be swayed by what's popular at the expense of who I am and what I believe.
Some boundaries cannot be breached!
"LORD, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance." (Psalm 16:5-6 NIV)
Be Encouraged! ❤
