TAKING A BREAK TO REST!

Updated: Jul 30, 2023

“And He said to them, [As for you] come away by yourselves to a deserted place, and rest a while—for many were [continually] coming and going, and they had not even leisure enough to eat.” (Mark 6:31 AMPC)

Sometimes we can become so busy doing we forget the importance of just being. When we are constantly moving, we can miss what God is saying and doing. We can get comfortable believing that God will always speak to us in the same way He always has. We can become so distracted by the noise we miss His voice.

I'm taking a much-needed social media and writing break to rest, be silent, be still, journal, study, and focus on my health.

I've been teaching a weekly Bible study, "Abiding in the Secret Place," for the last six weeks and enjoying every moment of it. God has given me so much wisdom and insight on this topic. Additionally, my pastor has given me permission to run with it, so I don't know when it will end and we're both okay with that. What I can tell you is that each week has been an adventure with God filled with wisdom nuggets and insights that have been life transforming!

NOTE: If you'd like to watch the live or catch up on the previous recorded teachings of "Abiding in the Secret Place," you can click on this link:

The series, which is part of Table Talk Live, began on May 3rd. You can join us on Wednesday's at 7:00 pm live!

One of the things I plan to do while I'm taking this break is to upload my teaching notes with Scripture references and the literal word for word notes for "Abiding in the Secret Place," as a Bible study for sale on Amazon.

The cool thing is that I will update the book weekly until the series ends. And guess what? If you turn on updates, you will get the new material automatically downloaded for FREE after purchasing the initial study! This is my gift to you for supporting my ministry. Now that's a bargain!

At this time, I don't know how long this break will be. I'm going to allow the Lord to lead me. In the past when I've taken breaks, I usually write devotions to cover the entire time I'm away. This time, I'm just going to stop where I am and rest. This is new for me. I'm surrendering control and trusting God on a new level where ministry is concerned.

I'm going to take time to just be! No doing, just being!

While what we do for God is important it will never be more important than being in His Presence.

Being in His Presence will equip us to “do” at the right time and in the right way, making us more effective for the Kingdom.

There is power in rest and I'm going to avail myself of it.

So, for now, this is where my head and heart are:

R= Relax in Him

E= Encourage yourself in Him

S= Seek His face

T= Think about Him

Be Encouraged! ❤

I am with you there. This will also be my time to rest in Him. I Thank you for every step you have given me to stay strong in the chaos I'm going through wasn't as bad as I thought it to be. Because I handed myself and the problems over to Abba Father and placed myself on the Altar in the Throne Room in Jesus Mighty Name. Holy Spirit is guiding me as He guides you. In His Presence you and I will be in Jesus Mighty Name. PRAISE Jesus! GLORY to Abba Father Daddy God. Thank you Jesus, Holy Spirit make way for us, all.
