“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” (I Peter 4:10 NLT)
FAITH CONFESSION:
Thank You, Abba Father, for giving me gifts that are specifically for me to use to serve others. Thank You for the reminder that the gifts You give aren’t to be used selfishly but in the service of others. Help me to become more sensitive to opportunities to be a blessing to others. Thank You for giving me access to Your resources.
“True vision is the product of a clear sense of purpose and deep inspiration.” (Dr. Myles Munroe)
Abba Father thank You for giving me deep inspiration and clarity on using the gifts You have given me. Let me be a blessing to others.
Dr. Munroe mentioned steps to writing your vision in his devotional, “Vision with Purpose and Power: A 90-Day Devotional.” I highly recommend this book if you really want to pursue purpose and remember:
IT’S. NOT. TOO. LATE!
I’m going to share an additional step Dr. Munroe gave us in today’s devotional:
Write down the answers to the following questions, read them over, think about them, pray about them, and begin to formulate ideas about what you want out of life.
What do I want to do with my life?
What would I like to do more than anything else, even if I was never paid for it?
What do I love to do so much that I forget to eat or sleep?
What am I inspired to do?
What is my deepest desire?
What do I feel truly passionate about?
What is the idea that never leaves me?
What are my constant, recurring dreams?
What do I continually imagine about my future?
What one thing would I do if I knew I could not fail at it?
What would bring me the greatest fulfillment?
Where do I want to be one year, five years, ten years, twenty years, thirty years from now?
Allow yourself to think freely. Don’t put any limitations of time or money on your vision.
WRITE YOUR OWN LEGACY:
What would you like your eulogy to say about you? What would you like to be known for? What do you want to leave to this generation as a contribution? What would you want others (family members, colleagues, teachers, employers, neighbors) to say about you?
Family: What kind of husband, wife, son, or daughter do you want to be remembered as?
Society: What kind of impact would you like to leave on your community?
World: In what way would you like the world to be different because you were here?
MY PRAYER FOR YOU:
Lord, I pray for every person that will read these words today. I ask that You give them vision or revive a vision they may have given up on. Place people in their path that will encourage and inspire them to walk in the greatness You created for them. Also, Lord, if there’s any way I can encourage and inspire someone show me the possibilities and let me act on them with boldness and words that bring, and sustain, hope. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Be Encouraged! ❤
