SEEK GODLY COUNSEL!

Updated: Jan 31, 2022

"Where no wise guidance is, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." (Proverbs 11:14 AMPC)

As you continue considering and fine-tuning goals for 2022 remember to include how you process life’s challenges. You cannot go to just anyone for insight and direction. Who you are connected to can either catapult you into your destiny or derail you. Godly connections are critical.

"Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers)." (Psalm 1:1-2 AMPC)

When you're facing life's challenges and everything is in turmoil, take a moment and seek another spiritually mature believer to help you get God's perspective.

"Don’t continue to team up with unbelievers in mismatched alliances, for what partnership is there between righteousness and rebellion? Who could mingle light with darkness?" (II Corinthians 6:14 TPT)

Think seriously about who you seek advice from. Remember, the world does not have God's perspective, so don't seek their advice.

"Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.” (I Corinthians 15:33 AMPC)

Don't make life altering decisions during temporary challenges. Therefore, you should not isolate yourself in times of stressful situations. Your vision is distorted, and you can make life altering decisions based on wrong, unclear, or emotional information!

Get connected! Stay connected! Don't become an easy target for the enemy to pick off. Seek wisdom and godly counsel at all costs.

"Hear counsel, receive instruction, and accept correction, that you may be wise in the time to come." (Proverbs 19:20 AMPC)

"Where there is no counsel, purposes are frustrated, but with many counselors they are accomplished." (Proverbs 15:22 AMPC)

We all need help at some point. Where we get the help from will make all the difference in whether we are helped or not.
