PERSONALIZED 23rd PSALM USING THE NAMES OF GOD!

Updated: Sep 4, 2023

It's important for us to know Who God is and to personalize His Word in our lives.

Here's my personalized 23rd Psalm using the Names of God. I pray it blesses, encourages, and strengthens you:

The Lord, Adonai, is my Teacher, my personal Instructor;

He provides me with knowledge teaching me how to live according to His Word.

He gives me the mind of Christ and mental acuity to learn about Him and understand His ways.

Jehovah Shalom wraps me in peace and caresses me with love as I walk in His presence.

Jehovah Rohi gives me direction and reveals the right path for my life.

He guides me to wisdom, understanding, perception, and good judgment so I can bring glory to His Name.

Jehovah M’Kaddesh sanctifies me, making me holy, because He is holy.

As I walk in a world that no longer reverences God and worships the temporary, with little thought to the Eternal, I have no fear.

Jehovah Shammah gives me courage and provides comfort, making Your home in me.

Your presence is always with me.

Your Word is my shield and my security.

El Shaddai, You provide everything I require. I have no lack.

My eyes are continually on You, Jehovah Jireh, my true provider.

My faith and my trust are in You, Jehovah.

You anoint my mind and fill my journal with precious insights.

Surely greater wisdom and godly knowledge will follow me and flow through me every day of my life.

I will spend time in the presence of my Teacher forever! Why?

Because:

  • He leads me (vs 1-2)

  • He restores me (v3)

  • He guides me (vs3)

  • He is with me (vs4)

  • He comforts me (vs4)

  • He fills me (vs5)

  • He blesses me (vs6)

  • He satisfies me!

1 The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.

2 He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.

3 He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.

4 Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.

6 Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place. (Psalm 23:1-6 AMPC)
