"Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7 TPT)
I was talking to the Lord about casting my cares and anxiety on Him and He gave me some insights and showed me some Scriptures to focus on when my mind wants to take me where His promises never meant me to go too!
The Lord had me list my cares in my journal. Once I listed them, I asked God to show me how to truly leave them with Him because I did not want to worry.
He took me to these Scriptures:
"Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7 TPT)
"Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?" (Matthew 6:27 NLT)
"Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life (Philippians 4:6-7 MSG)
"So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose." (Romans 8:28 TPT)
I came to these conclusions:
Worry can't add a single moment to my life, but it can take a lot of moments away from my life! Worry isn't going to change the outcome, but God can!
I am commanded not to fret or worry but to pray. Obedience to God requires my letting go of worry and remembering that all things will work together for my good!
FAITH CONFESSION:
I believe that as I can't my cares on You, Abba, Father, You have already begun to work on my behalf. I know Jesus will displace worry from the center of my life. I trust You with the details and the outcome. In the meantime, I choose praise over worry.
I am convinced that every detail of my life is continually woven together for good. I love You, Abba. I know I have been called to fulfill Your designed purpose for me. Thank You that I serve a God of purpose who created me on purpose for purpose.
