"But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides." (Matthew 6:33 AMPC)
Lord, I will seek after, aim at, strive after, Your kingdom and righteousness, your way of doing and being right. When I do this, I don't have to worry about things because you will take care of my needs. Thank you for that Abba Father.
"To complete your vision plan, you must identify all the resources you will need to accomplish your dream." (Dr. Myles Munroe)
Vision planning and execution requires my attention, detail, resources, and time. I can't do this alone and God never meant me too. I can look to Him to show me the people, insights, wisdom, and resources I need. My job is to stay alert to His leading.
"Make plans to refine your strengths and address your weaknesses." (Dr. Myles Munroe)
Introspection is key. Asking God to search me thoroughly, and create in me a clean heart, is part of my plan. He sees what others don't. He knows my heart and my motives. Only He can help me keep them pure so I can execute His vision with the right heart.
Dr. Munroe mentioned steps to writing your vision in his devotional, “Vision with Purpose and Power: A 90-Day Devotional.” I highly recommend this book if you really want to pursue purpose and remember:
IT’S. NOT. TOO. LATE!
I’m going to share an additional step Dr. Munroe gave us in today’s devotional:
Identify Your Resources:
Identify your human needs – what do you need from others to fulfill your vision? What kind of personal associations do you need to have – and not have?
Identify your resource needs – What kinds of resources do you need to fulfill your vision? Don’t worry about how large they may seem. Write them down.
Write down your strengths – What are your gifts? What do you know you are good at? Record all your answers and then make plans to refine your strengths
Write down your weaknesses – What does your vision need that you aren’t good at? Don’t be ashamed of your weaknesses because everyone has something they are not good at. You must identify these areas because God will supply people to do what you cannot do toward your vision.
Discuss the following questions with a few trusted mentors or leaders, and follow through for the success of your plans:
What do I want to accomplish?
What resources do I already have?
Who and what do I need to help me?
Where can I go for more information?
What do I need to read?
Who should I associate with?
How long should my vision take to complete?
How much will it cost? What courses should I take?
Where can I gain experience?
My Prayer:
Lord, I pray for every person that reads this devotion. Give them greater hope, unsinkable, unstoppable, faith, endless encouragement, and sustained desire to pursue the vision You have placed in their heart. Renew hope where it has waned and revive dreams that may have been given up on. Let them soar in the possibilities while always remembering, when the challenges come that, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” (Matthew 19:26 NLT) Let them remember, they are in partnership with You and are not doing this alone. Everything they need You will provide. Give them peace and perseverance to trust that the vision has an appointed time and will end in fulfillment. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
"For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day." (Habakkuk 2:3 AMPC)
Be Encouraged! ❤
