I have to wonder, if believers did more praying and less trying to convince and convict others to their side of a political matter if America would heal? If believers spent less time verbally fighting others and choosing to walk in love, regardless of what others are saying and doing, would this help America to heal? I have to wonder how much believers want healing instead of defending their viewpoints and being right at all costs?
Do believers even remember that Jesus argued with no one? He spoke truth and left it to His audience to either believe and receive it or not. He always gave people a choice. And He definitely didn't throw stones, verbal or natural, and only He had that right.
Jesus said people would know His disciples by their love. So what are people seeing in our posts, comments, and interactions? Disciples or Pharisees?
If believers are spending more time on social media than in the Word of God, then I must conclude believers are part of what's wrong in America. Believers fight their battles on their knees and by faith - not by arguing and trying to force people to see things their way or condemning them when they don't.
I'd love to see this same passion expressed for the lost. After all it really doesn't matter who is in office when people are going to hell! Do you think we've lost focus of the needful thing? Jesus, not any elected official is our hope! Maybe our eyes are on the wrong thing!
Be Encouraged! ❤
