Are you feeling weak, like you have no strength, and can’t go on? Well, have I got great news for you! As a child of God, you have the power to take the next step and through the Word of God you can rebuild, or build, your strength! Everything you need is in the Word of God. All you have to do is apply the Word of God to your situation.
Here are some Scriptures, and life application insights, to stand on to build your strength in Jesus:
"And be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold." (Nehemiah 8:10b AMPC)
Make sure you keep your joy going because it will keep you strong. The enemy will attack your joy because he knows without it you will become weak. That's why the enemy tries so hard to steal your joy, to make you think things are hopeless, to cause you to be down or depressed. He knows the power of joy.
Joy isn't happiness. You can be unhappy but still have joy! Why? Because joy is based on your relationship with the Lord and happiness is based on people, places, or things.
"But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired." (Isaiah 30:31 AMPC)
Keep your eyes on the Lord. No matter how tired you are of waiting for the answer. You don't lose when you wait on Him. The added benefit is that waiting on Him renews your strength - you become stronger, and you'll soar! Remember waiting isn't a time of inactivity. It's a time of preparation. It’s a time of seeking Him, digging deeper into His Word, spending time with Him, praise, worship, prayer, and resting in your faith in Him and His peace. It may even be a time of renewal.
Now that you have your joy, and you are willing to wait, declare that you have His strength and can face anything because you don't face it alone! Even if you are not feeling it right at the moment declare it by faith:
"I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]." (Philippians 4:13 AMPC)
Just like a blood transfusion, imagine our loving Abba Father infusing you with His strength to face whatever has been set before you! No matter what you're going through, He's got this and more importantly, He's got you! You can do this. You can face this. You are not alone!
“For He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]” (Hebrews 13:5a AMPC)
