GOD SEES!

Updated: Dec 5, 2022

Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the Lord, who had spoken to her. She said, “You are the God who sees me.” She also said, “Have I truly seen the One who sees me?” (Genesis 16:13 NLT)

God hears the cries of the oppressed, distressed, and suffering. He will move on our behalf so cry out to Him. He is bigger than anything going on in this world!

Then the Lord told him, “I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers. Yes, I am aware of their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land." (Exodus 3:7‭-‬8a NLT)

Don't let the actions of others cause you to become someone you are not. Just as light dispels darkness and love dispels hate continue being light and giving love. God sees even when others don't.

Don't become like those who would oppress by painting others with the same brush indiscriminately.

No matter how others act we are responsible for our reactions and actions. As believers we should always lead with love. That's how we make a difference in the world. It's also how others are introduced to and are able to see Jesus. Let God's love be our anchor and compass!

This is how love speaks and is felt:

“Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured. It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail]. Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening]. Love never fails [it never fades nor ends].” (I Corinthians 13:4-8 AMP)
