GOD, ME, AND TEA TIME!

Updated: Dec 9, 2021

"You have been set apart as holy to the Lord your God, and he has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be his own special treasure." (Deuteronomy 14:2 NLT)

"Then Peter and the apostles replied, We must obey God rather than men." (Acts 5:29 AMPC)

There is a responsibility for all who are called by God and are His disciples. We cannot sugarcoat truth or compromise the truth of God to make it palatable or acceptable to others. This means we will look different to the world and sometimes stand apart from the world, but never from God.

"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy." (I Peter 2:9‭-‬10 NKJV)

We must speak when Holy Spirit directs us and trust Him with the results. We cannot fear. Fear will paralyze us and we will not complete our assignment.

"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7 AMPC)

Don't allow fear to paralyze you. Walk boldly in your God given assignment. Don't let the need for acceptance cause you to compromise God's truth. You have already been accepted in the Beloved! Speak God's truth boldly and trust Him with the results.

"Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved." (Ephesians 1:5‭-‬6 NKJV)

Knowing all God has done for us through His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, let this be your stance:

"I’m obviously not trying to flatter you or water down my message to be popular with men, but my supreme passion is to please God. For if all I attempt to do is please people, I would fail to be a true servant of Christ." (Galatians 1:10 TPT)

I cannot and will not focus on pleasing man. My devotion and faithfulness is to God. My heart’s desire is to please Him and only Him. Supply the strength and power I need Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen
