Worth revisiting:
MARGINALIZING WOMEN IN THE CHURCH!
Until we walk in unity, accepting one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, co-laborers together for Christ, instead of marginalizing an entire portion of the Body of Christ, we will never greatly impact the world for Christ! Love and unity should always be our goal. Anything less dilutes the message of Christ. Isn’t it time that we focus on a dying world, giving them the hope of Christ, instead of focusing on who delivers the message?
It’s easy for men to say, “Titles aren’t important,” because no one is challenging their title, their calling, or whether they should teach or preach. It is women who are being challenged in this way and they are being challenged by the very men that say, “Titles aren’t important.” Women aren’t challenging titles, men are. It’s sad that women face the same discrimination in the church that we face in the world. The church should be a place of peace, and sadly for women it’s just another battleground.
The Word clears up the women issue, and every other issue:
“And we no longer see each other in our former state—Jew or non-Jew, rich or poor, male or female—because we’re all one through our union with Jesus Christ with no distinction between us.” (Galatians 3:28 TPT)
A drowning person, a dying person, doesn’t care who saves him, man or woman, they just want to be saved! They just want to live. And isn’t this what the message of Christ is about – life, eternal life? Souls are at stake and we’re focused on who delivers the message. The enemy has us fighting each other instead of him. He knows there is power in unity that’s why he works so hard to keep us fighting each other and focused on unimportant things.
DISCLAIMER: This does not apply to ALL men in ministry, or ALL churches. However, it applys to enough that women in ministry, are still not "allowed" to teach and preach in many churches and denominations. Let's change this dynamic and make all who are called welcomed. It's not a club, it's the Body of Christ.
If you have an issue with women in ministry take it to God. Don't be a stumbling block, be a launching pad!
"For God's gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]" (Romans 11:29 AMPC)
