CHRONICLES FROM THE PORCH - EXTRA EDITION!

I'm participating in the 5 Day Chart Your Course Challenge via John and Lisa Bevere. I want to share my reflection on the THIRD day, which was yesterday. I pray it blesses you.

Day Three:

I had to sit with this one a lot longer. Still not sure I'm finished with it. The two things that stuck out for me were isolation and unity. My post today is more about my thoughts on these subjects.

"HE WHO willfully separates and estranges himself [from God and man] seeks his own desire and pretext to break out against all wise and sound judgment." (Proverbs 18:1 AMPC)

Isolation. Separation. Estrangement. - from God and man; causes us to seek our own desires; causes us to break out against wise and sound judgment.

Wow! My takeaway, we need God and people! I don't want to be on my own. I don't have to be on my own! I need you and you need me!

"How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron’s head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe. Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion. And there the Lord has pronounced his blessing, even life everlasting." (Psalms 133:1‭-‬3 NLT)

Unity is key, especially among believers. The enemy works so hard to get us focused on our differences. We can't fall into that trap. There's too much at stake.

Psalm 133 makes the power of unity clear. There are blessings attached to unity which is another reason the enemy does all He can to keep us apart. There's power in agreement, especially in prayer, which is why the enemy keeps us focused on our differences. He knows when we operate on one accord he can't stop us! Our unity can make him impotent, powerless, of no consequence!

“I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” (Matthew 18:19‭-‬20 NLT)

Satan doesn't want us to tap into this power. As long as he can deceive us, causing us to choose division, we will never walk in the fullness of God's power and promises that are available to us! We will impact nothing (no thing), and no one! Exactly what the enemy wants.

While we're walking in division souls hang in the balance! Choose love, at all costs. Choose unity, at all costs. Choose to walk in the fullness of God's power. We are not only better together, we are stronger together!

Unity is based on our oneness with God, not on us individually. When we see our brothers and sisters in Christ through the blood of Jesus we see from common ground, from oneness. Look at me through the blood of Jesus and I will look at you through the blood of Jesus. Then together we can take this world for Jesus, because of His blood!

UNITY:

U = Unified

N = Not

I = Isolated

T = Together (in)

Y = Yeshua
