Treasured by God!
“In prayer there is a connection between what God does and what you do. You can’t get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others. If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God’s part." (Matthew 6:14-15 MSG)
Always choose forgiveness. Being right in God's eyes will always supercede being right in man's eyes. Every single time we choose God's way we are choosing eternal things. Never settle for the temporal at the expense of the eternal. Always remember, what we see is not all that is going on!
"Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting." (2 Corinthians 4:18 AMPC)
Now, back to forgiveness!
Forgiveness is both challenging and rewarding. The first step is letting go of pride. That opens the door to having a forgiving spirit. Pride will cause us to step away from God's perspective of things and want to handle it our own way. It's not about right or wrong, it's about pleasing God. When we make pleasing God our goal then forgiveness becomes a natural response.
Unforgiveness gives others power to impact your relationship with God! No one, but Holy Spirit and you, should impact your relationship with the Lord! Keep your power!
While challenging, I try to assess based on eternity, not being right or what I believe to be fair. I want to please God. Then I have to trust God with the results and justice! He can deal with it much better than me. I'm not always successful but this is my goal. God is continually at work in me so He can work through me.
Be Encouraged! ❤
