“I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws.” (Psalm 119:59 NLT)
Pondered – Weighed in the mind; considered; examined by intellectual operation (Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary)
Lord, I pondered, weighed, and considered in my mind, the direction of my life, and I choose to turn from my way of doing things and do it Your way. I choose to follow Your laws. I want to be on the course You have set for me.
“There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death.” (Proverbs 14:12 AMPC)
Lord, I don’t want the way that seems right and appears straight to me. I know that I’m not seeing the complete picture. I want Your way, Your path for my life. Not my will, Abba Father, but let Your will be done in every area of my life. Help me to avoid choices that lead to death and focus on what You are doing. I don’t have to understand it. I must be obedient to Your leading.
“I will hurry, without delay, to obey your commands.” (Psalm 119:60 NLT)
Lord, You see what I can’t, and You know what I don’t so, I choose to trust Your plan for my life and follow Your directions. If I need to make a course correction, please show me what steps to take to get back on course. I want to do things Your way, not my way.
Be Encouraged! ❤
