CHANGE TEACHES!

Updated: Aug 29, 2022

“Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” (Romans 12:2 MSG)

I will not become well-adjusted to this culture as this is not my home. I cannot compromise God’s truth for the worlds lies. I am His child and I want to bring Him glory and honor in all I say and do.

My attention is on You, Abba Father. Transformation happens through You, by spending time in Your Presence and in Your Word. I want my outside, the person people see, to reflect who I am in Christ. I want to be in sync with You, the real me, the me I was created to be. I want to be aligned with You.

I choose You to bring out the best in me, to develop well-formed maturity in me.

Speak Lord, Your servant is listening and ready to obey.

Five ways people typically handle change:

1. Watch things happen

2. Let things happen

3. Ask what happened

4. Defy what happens

5. Make things happen

(Dr. Myles Munroe)

FAITH CONFESSION:

Lord, let me be one who makes things happen no matter what comes my way. I know that nothing that I face is a surprise to You. I am more than a conqueror and gain a surpassing victory through You who loves me. No matter what I face it must work out for my good.

“So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.” (Romans 8:28 TPT)

FAITH CONFESSION:

It is not a surprise to You Abba. It may have been one for me. But I know, no matter what, You have a design for my life. You’re in the details so, I know if You allowed it then it was necessary to building my character and making me more like You. I know You waste nothing.

“The Lord works everything together to accomplish his purpose. Even the wicked are included in his plans—he sets them aside for the day of disaster.” (Proverbs 16:4 TPT)

FAITH CONFESSION:

Thank You Abba Father for always having a purpose in what You do and even in the choices I make – right and wrong. No matter what I face – good and bad, I look to You to show me what I can learn in the experience.

“When change happens to you, around you, or within you, you have to be wise in how you deal with it. If we are to benefit from change, we must understand our role in the process and work with it rather than against it. You will never really know who you are—and who you can be—if you don’t understand the nature of change and how to shape its consequences.” (Dr. Myles Munroe)

FAITH CONFESSION:

Abba, show me how to successfully deal with change, especially change that hurts. I know that even in pain, in discomfort, and disappointment, there is always something I can learn. Open my eyes and my heart so I can see the lessons, the opportunities for growth that change brings. Help me to see from Your perspective.

Be Encouraged! ❤
