HE, GOD, RESTORES MY SOUL!
After spending all day yesterday dealing with identity theft issues, today became a self-care day. I needed to just let go and rest in God.
"He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life. He opens before me the right path and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to his name." (Psalms 23:2-3 TPT)
He restores my soul. I want God's restoration in every area of my life. So many promises but we must meet the conditions. Spiritual food for thought, nourishment, and growth.
Self-care! You have to put on your own oxygen mask before you can assist anyone else. Jesus took time alone, with His Father, before He ever ministered to others. That time prepared Him to be effective and powerful in ministry. We must take time to be restored, refreshed, and renewed by time with our Abba Father.
Right now, we have too many wounded and empty people trying to serve from a place of pain and emptiness. This does more damage to the cause of God and doesn’t allow us to operate from a place of being light and salt. Instead, when we don’t care for our wounds, we operate from a place of darkness and lack tastelessness.
Too many people’s connection to the Master are frayed and about to snap. (Some have already snapped!) Recognize where you are and do whatever is necessary to be able to serve from a place of wholeness.
Take a timeout and strengthen your connection.
Evaluate. Adjust. Readjust your focus to make sure you are still on course and still connected.
Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat. (Mark 6:31 NLT)
You have so much vying for your attention. You may need a quiet place and rest.
Stay tuned, because God isn't finished with me yet!
Be Encouraged! ❤
