BIRTHDAY MONTH CHRONICLES! (Day 19)

In all that has gone on this week I have to consciously remember who I am in Christ! In the hustle and bustle of living this life I can sometimes forget who I am, and Who I belong to. It is so easy to just get caught up and let the world define me. Yet, as God’s child I have been defined by Him and it’s His definition that is truth. I don’t have to fit in because I was created by God to stand out!

“For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.” (Romans 8:16-17 NKJV)

From God’s perspective:

I am created in His image and likeness. When I accepted the Gift of Eternal Life paid for by the Blood of Jesus, I left the old behind and become who He always meant for me to be, HIS child, a joint heir with Jesus. I have His DNA. Because of His unconditional, everlasting, and sacrificial love, I have the desire and the responsibility to become more like Him, walking like Him, talking like Him, so others can see Him in me. Hallelujah!

"We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves." (II Corinthians 4:7 NLT)

I was created for purpose, on purpose by a God who knit purpose into my DNA! I cannot fail! God has a plan for my life, all I have to do is accept it, allowing Him to prepare me for it and lead me to it.

"I'll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for." (Jeremiah 29:10b-11 MSG)

I’m excited to see what God is unfolding in my life, what He’s lovingly prepared just for me. I am in a place of expectation, confident that God is ordering my steps. He will not give up on me and I won’t give up on Him. I am committed to living life His way, not my way.

" And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you." (Philippians 1:6 AMPC)

Stay tuned, because God isn't finished with me yet!

Be Encouraged! ❤
