I want to encourage you not to give up. Take another step of faith. What you're doing for the Lord matters. I applaud your obedience!
Yes, what you're doing matters, if what you're doing is ordered and directed by God and done to honor Him. Don't evaluate your success or impact by what you see, how you feel, or negative talk. You won't see the big picture looking in the now or listening to words that don't align with your God assignment.
Your success will always be determined by your obedience. If you're doing what God has asked you to do, then you're successful. When you're obedient God is responsible for the results. That takes the pressure off you.
If you're feeling discouraged by how it looks, how it feels, or what people are saying then ask God to give you, His perspective. Keep your eyes on Him and don't be distracted by what's going on around you. Here's a great example from the Word:
When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha. Then Elisha prayed, "Lord, I pray You, open his eyes that he may see. And the Lord opened the young man's eyes, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha." (2 Kings 6:16-17 AMPC)
Be encouraged because what you see is not all that's going on. That means the negative talkers don't see it all either!
When you do it God's way, you get God's results. Continue to be faithful over what He's presently asked you to do. Don't give up! What may look small and insignificant to you can be the most important part of God's overall plan. God can magnify it, so you can see it from His perspective. Remember, from God's perspective you'll see a much bigger picture than from your limited perspective. Don't let other people's opinions get you off track. Don't allow yourself to be distracted. (Think Noah. Yes, he may have looked foolish, but his obedience saved his family!)
"The least one shall become a thousand [a clan], and the small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its [appointed] time." (Isaiah 60:22 AMPC)
Let this encourage you to keep going:
"And don’t allow yourselves to be weary in planting good seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you’ve planted is coming! Take advantage of every opportunity to be a blessing to others, especially to our brothers and sisters in the family of faith!" (Galatians 6:9-10 TPT)
I will end, as I began, with a word of encouragement:
I want to encourage you not to give up. Take another step of faith. What you're doing for the Lord matters. I applaud your obedience!
Be Encouraged! ❤
