THERE IS A WAY OUT!

Updated: Nov 8, 2022

Our loving Abba Father hears our prayers. As He looks at our hearts, making any adjustments, He will answer us. It may seem overwhelming and hopeless, but that's exactly what He specializes in - making a way where there is no way. Can we say Red Sea before us and Pharaoh's army behind us? It seemed like death, defeat, was eminent - BUT GOD! He always has a way of escape for His children, those that love Him.

This is what Moses said to the people:

Moses spoke to the people: "Don't be afraid. Stand firm and watch God do his work of salvation for you today. Take a good look at the Egyptians today for you're never going to see them again. God will fight the battle for you. And you? You keep your mouths shut!" God said to Moses: "Why cry out to me? Speak to the Israelites. Order them to get moving. Hold your staff high and stretch your hand out over the sea: Split the sea! The Israelites will walk through the sea on dry ground. (Exodus 14:13-16 MSG)

The first thing we have to do is conqueror our fear, then focus on God. Fear blocks our ability to see and hear God, so we must deal with it. There are some situations that only God can change and there are others where we must do something. That something is operate in faith. In this case God told Moses to use what he had in his hand to change his situation. In order for the staff to become an instrument used by God Moses had to respond with immediate obedience and not questions. When Moses raised the staff, the Red Sea parted, and they walked across on dry land.

In other words, in the midst of our Red Sea experience, in the midst of being surrounded on all sides, in the midst of a no way out situation - we must put our eyes on, and our faith in, God. He will deliver us. He knows the way in which we should go.

Don't be afraid! Don't be discouraged! Why? Because even though we don't have a plan God has a plan. Oh, and did I mention, the battle isn't ours? The battle is God's.

He said, “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s." (2 Chronicles 20:15 NLT)

We've got to stop trying to fight battles that only God can win! When we spend time with Him, He will show us clearly what to do and tell us exactly what to say. Oh, and did I mention, there will be times when He will have us do nothing and say nothing? Why? Because God wants to show Himself big in the midst of our Red Sea, being surrounded on every side, experience.

But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” (Exodus 14:13‭-‬14 NLT)

Don't look at what's coming against you! Instead focus on Who is on your side standing with you.

Be Encouraged! ❤
