Chosen by God!
The potter and the clay is one of my favorite Scriptures as it portrays hope that nothing is beyond repair in the potters/God's hands. What I hear is everything, everyone, is salvageable and nothing is wasted.
"Go down to the potter’s shop, and I will speak to you there.” So I did as he told me and found the potter working at his wheel. But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over. Then the Lord gave me this message: “O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand." (Jeremiah 18:2-6 NLT)
What I love about this Scripture is God does not throw us away. He continues to mold us, as we submit to Him, making us more like Him. We can make mistakes but God promises He can work with them and through them until we come out just like He wants us too. In the Potters Hands we can be exactly what He planned and purposed for our lives.
Faith Confession:
Abba Father, I am the clay. You are the Potter. Mold me. Make me into who you intended for me to be. Help me to line up my thoughts and actions with Your thoughts, actions, plans, and purposes for my life. I am Yours!
