Chosen by God!
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” (Revelation 12:11a NKJV)
Our loving Abba Father allows us to go through things not only for ourselves but for the benefit of others too. It's not always about us. Sure, it's easier, and sometimes safer, to keep our struggles to ourselves. After all we don't want people to judge us or to look at us differently. If we choose to remain silent how does God get the praise and the glory, if we don't tell the story of how He delivered us? Just think how powerful our testimony is when we don’t look like what we’ve been through because we’ve got joy in spite of our circumstances.
The enemy wants to keep us quiet because he knows the power of our testimony. He knows, even if we don’t, that it will impact and change lives. We can't let him get away with that. We must trust God and tell our story. We can’t continue to let people believe that who we are now is who we’ve always been! We can’t have them believe that we’ve never confronted pain, struggled, faced loss, or sacrificed to do the right thing while losing friends and making enemies! We’ve got to let them know that this Christian life doesn’t mean perfection but His peace and grace to face whatever comes our way! You never know, your testimony may be just what gives someone, hope to go on, the desire to try again, and the determination to continue to trust God even though it looks hopeless.
“Therefore encourage (admonish, exhort) one another and edify (strengthen and build up) one another, just as you are doing.” (I Thessalonians 5:11 AMPC)
