Chosen by God!
“Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 AMPC)
When God has stated that He will do certain things, we can be sure that His words will come true--whether in judgment or in salvation. We can depend on God’s Word and His character. As a result, one of my favorite promises in the Word of God is:
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10 NLT)
“Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.” (Ephesians 1:4 AMPC)
No matter what anyone thinks about me I am anchored in the fact that I am God’s Masterpiece and that He chose me, actually picked me out for Himself as His own. This is a powerful anchoring promise for me. It reminds me of my value in a world that constantly tries to devalue. It reminds me that while the world may leave me out God specifically chose me.
